A MAN has been arrested in relation to a shooting on a residential street in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police launched an investigation on Monday after an 18-year-old attended hospital just before 6.30pm on Sunday with injuries consistent with a firearms discharge.
There was a huge emergency services response to the incident.
A police cordon was in place in Dovesdale Road for much of Monday while the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HEMT) investigated.
West Yorkshire Police has revealed today that a man has been arrested in connection with the shooting and he remains in police custody at this time.

A spokesperson for the force also confirmed a police scene in Carr Bottom Avenue yesterday was put in place as part of its investigation into the incident.

The police cordon stretched across the Dovesdale Road's junction with the A6177 and the top of the street, where it becomes Deneside Mount, with multiple police vans, cars, and officers seen within or guarding the cordon.

Later in the day, a team of CSI officers were witnessed searching underneath a car within the cordon.

But police said on Monday afternoon that he was released on bail pending further enquiries.
Councillor Sabiya Khan (Labour, Wibsey) called for calm in the aftermath of the shooting.
She said: “We’re concerned about the safety of our residents, that’s the first, most important thing.
“We request everybody to keep calm in the area and work with the relevant agencies that are dealing with the incident, because by working together we can create a safer environment for everybody.
“We wish the young person that’s been injured good health and makes a good recovery and we’re concerned about him and his family as well.
“Anyone in the community who may have information that may help, we request that is given to the agencies.”
She added: “We just want peace in the area and it’s concerning for everybody, especially during this time of Ramadan”.
Police launched an appeal for information alongside their investigation.
