Is Prince William on Reddit? Prince of Wales reveals he posts on football forums under an alias
Is Prince William on Reddit? It certainly seems that way, as the Prince of Wales admits to being more than just a lurker on online football forums.
Celebrities have had secret social media accounts since the dawn of, well, social media, but Prince William has finally admitted to having a royal Reddit of his own.
Okay, he didn’t specify Reddit, but he did admit to lurking on Aston Villa “forums” where he posts under an alias. So it’s likely Reddit or VillaTalk, two of the most popular platforms for discussing Prince William’s favourite football team.
The Prince of Wales told The Sun he spends “ages” on the forums, admitting: “I get quite into it, definitely. It’s important to have that debate.”

He also admitted that he uses his children as part of his matchday superstitions, saying: “If I’m home alone with the children, I probably don’t have the pre-match pint but I do have a bit of superstition about where I sit when I’m watching them.
“If we’re not doing very well, I start moving round the house quite quickly and I put the children in different positions hoping that’s going to change our luck.”
Prince William has been an Aston Villa fan since his youth, when he made the conscious decision to support the Birmingham based club instead of the more popular teams at the time.
“A long time ago at school I got into football big time,” the Prince of Wales told the BBC in 2015. “All my friends were Chelsea or Manchester United fans and I didn’t really want to follow the run of the mill team.

“I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments.”
William’s love of Aston Villa pits him against other members of the family, with the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry both rumoured to support Arsenal. King Charles III is said to support Burnley FC, which he once explained was due to Burnley having many “challenges.”
“Burnley has been through some very challenging times and I’m trying to find ways of helping to regenerate and raise aspirations and self-esteem in that part of the world,” Charles said back in 2012.
