She’s just a girl who liked something she saw on arch-conservative Tucker Carlson’s streaming show.
Gwen Stefani, onetime frontwoman of the pop-punk band No Doubt, is taking fire from fans after she “gushed” about an appearance by actor Jonathan Roumie on the “Tucker Carlson Network” Roku channel, the Daily Beast reported.
Roumie, who plays Jesus on the evangelist TV series “The Chosen,” talked about the power of prayer and fasting during an interview as part of his pitch for the “Christian and Catholic” prayer and meditation app Hallow.
Stefani, a devout Catholic, praised Roumie as a “powerful inspirational human” on X.
She wrote, “what an enlightening intelligent beautiful interview thank you for being u.”
The “Just a Girl” singer has made several posts in partnership with Hallow, which also includes actors Mark Wahlberg and Chris Pratt as devotees. The app costs $70 a month for a premium subscription.
Stefani’s fans are dismayed and believe that the singer has been lost to the pro-President Donald Trump MAGA movement.
“Gwen as a long time fan you’re making it harder and harder to keep supporting you please don’t platform Tucker Carlson the Russian propagandist good lord,” one fan wrote on X.
Another commentator said, “You honestly need a reality check God this is heartbreaking.”
The “Don’t Speak” songstress and coach on “The Voice” has never hidden her devotion to her Catholic faith, but fans suspect her country singer husband Blake Shelton is behind her conservative makeover.
“Gwen Stefani seems like one of those girls who just completely absorbs and becomes whatever man she’s with,” one wrote on X.
“Why are people surprised that Gwen Stefani is a right wing lunatic?” wrote another commentator on X. “Miss thing made a career out of cosplaying as other ethnicities and married a country music guy. lol like….lets use our brains.”
